Description
A full bench press station with two bar-catch positions and a recessed spotter area — £1,554 with free UK delivery.
The JORDAN Olympic Flat Bench is not a bench you press on; it is the whole pressing station. The uprights, the two catch positions and the cut-away spotter area are the product, on a high-grade steel frame built for daily commercial use. Manufactured in the UK. Barbell and plates sold separately.
Why £1,554 when the JORDAN Flat Bench is £510?
Because they do different jobs. The JORDAN Flat Bench at £510 is a pad on a frame — you need a rack to press a barbell on it. This one carries the bar itself, so it replaces a bench plus a rack rather than adding to one. If you already own a rack, buy the £510 bench and save the difference. If you do not, and pressing is the priority, this is the cheaper route once you count what a rack would cost.
What does the recessed spotter area actually change?
It lets a spotter stand close and lift with a straight back over the bar rather than reaching around the frame. On a heavy set that is the difference between a useful spot and a dangerous one — and on a commercial floor it is the detail that decides whether members will load the bar properly at all.
Flat, incline or decline?
Flat is the foundation and the first one to buy — it is the strongest pressing position and the one every programme starts from. The JORDAN Olympic Incline Bench at £1,434 biases the upper chest and shoulders; the JORDAN Olympic Decline Bench at £1,554 targets the lower chest and is the safest way to train decline with a barbell. A full commercial chest area runs all three.
One bench instead of three?
The JORDAN Olympic Adjustable Multi Bench at £1,694 covers −5° to 80° with seven bar-catcher positions, so one frame does flat, incline and decline pressing. It costs £140 more than this bench alone and is the better buy where floor space, not budget, is the constraint.
Will it fit?
It needs roughly 1.6m of length and 1.3m of width on the floor, plus clear space behind the uprights for a spotter to stand. The width catches people out — the frame is wider than the pad, because the uprights sit outside it.
