FAQs — Kettlebells
What size kettlebell should I start with?
For beginners, we typically recommend:
12kg to 16kg
8kg to 12kg
Start lighter to learn proper form, then progress based on strength and goals.
What’s the difference between standard and competition kettlebells?
Competition kettlebells are uniform in size regardless of weight, with precise dimensions — ideal for advanced lifters and consistent technique. Standard kettlebells vary in size by weight and are great for general fitness and home use.
Are kettlebells good for weight loss?
Yes — kettlebell training is excellent for fat loss. It combines strength and cardio in one workout, burning calories while building muscle and improving mobility.
Can I build muscle with kettlebells?
Absolutely. Kettlebells are highly effective for building functional strength, especially in the posterior chain (glutes, hamstrings, back), shoulders, and core.
Do I need one kettlebell or a set?
You can start with one, but a set of 2–3 kettlebells (light, medium, heavy) gives you more variety and progression as your training advances.
