The resistance version costs £150 more and is the difference between a running machine and a running machine that also does sled work. If you train sprints, pushes or conditioning at all, it is the cheaper of the two decisions.
There is no motor. The belt moves because you move it, and the curved deck means your speed is controlled by where you stand: run further forward on the curve and the belt accelerates, drift back towards the flat rear section and it slows to a stop. Speed is entirely under your feet.
A curved treadmill does not incline, and it will not hold a precise steady pace for you. If you are training to a prescribed pace or programme, or you want incline walking, a motorised commercial treadmill from our Treadmills collection is the right machine instead.
