Buy this pair if you own a rack that shipped without them, if you want a second pair set at a different height so squat and bench heights stay fixed, or if you have worn a set out. A commercial floor gets through liners.

Why the plastic liners matter

Because bare steel cradles strip the knurling off a bar within months, and a bar with worn knurling is a bar people cannot hold on a heavy deadlift. On an Ultimate Olympic Bar at £351 or a Shadow at £300, a £109 pair of hooks with liners is cheap insurance.
