Choose the 130 × 40 cm (approx. 50kg) if you are over roughly 80kg or train with power — the extra mass stops the bag swinging away from your combinations and gives a firmer, more realistic response. The extra 30cm of length also gives more target area for body shots and, for kickboxers and MMA, lower kicks. It's the size to choose for a studio or commercial gym where a range of users will hit it.
Choose the 100 × 40 cm (approx. 35kg) for lighter or shorter users, for shared household use, for technique, speed and fitness work, or where ceiling height is limited. Both sizes use the same fill and the same six-hook chain, and both are available in leather or PU.
Both materials sit over the same Hatton fill, at the same weight for the size, with the same chain, so the bag trains the same way. The difference is the outer cover: how it feels, how it ages and how you look after it.

Choose genuine leather if you want the classic boxing-gym feel and finish and you're happy to give the cover a little care. Choose PU if you want the same Hatton weight, fill and chain with a low-maintenance, wipe-clean cover at a lower price.
The chain comes with the bag. The fixing does not. A 35–50kg bag must be mounted to a structural joist, a rated wall bracket or a freestanding frame — never to plasterboard alone. In our own order data, only about one punch bag order in forty includes mounting hardware, which means almost everyone is fixing to something they already own.
