Jordan Kettlebells UK: Cast Iron, Neoprene, Chrome/Rubber or Competition? (2026)

Jordan Fitness makes four kinds of kettlebell, and from the photographs they look much the same. They are not. The handle finish, the coating, the weight range and how the bells are sold all differ, and each one suits a different room.

The short answer: for a home gym where you want to learn proper technique, buy JORDAN Chrome/Rubber Kettlebells as singles (£21 – £125 per bell, 4–24kg). For a studio or class floor, buy the JORDAN Neoprene Kettlebell Set (£797.36 for ten colour-coded bells, 4–40kg). For a mixed commercial free-weights floor, the JORDAN Cast Iron Kettlebell Set (£812.26 for ten bells, 4–40kg). Buy the JORDAN Competition 9 Kettlebell Set (£1,020 for nine bells, 8–40kg) if you train kettlebell sport, coach it, or simply want the same handle and bell feel at every weight.

Key takeaways

  • Jordan's kettlebells split four ways: one-piece cast iron, neoprene-covered cast iron, rubber-coated cast iron with a chrome handle, and hollow steel competition bells with a 35mm handle.
  • Two ranges are sold as single bells, two only as sets. Chrome/Rubber (£21 – £125 per bell) and Neoprene (£18 – £176 per bell) can be bought one at a time; Cast Iron and Competition come as complete sets.
  • Chrome/Rubber is the only Jordan range we sell in 2kg steps (4–20kg, then 24kg), which makes it the easiest to progress on for pressing.
  • The Neoprene Set works out at about £4.20 per kilo, against £4.72 for the Competition set and £5.10 for the Chrome/Rubber set, and costs £14.90 less than the Cast Iron set.
  • Competition bells are not only for competitors. Any lifter who wants the same handle and bell dimensions as the weight goes up can benefit.

What kettlebells does Jordan Fitness make?

Four ranges, built around two materials. Three are cast iron with a different outer finish; the fourth is a hollow steel competition bell. Jordan, based in King's Lynn, Norfolk, designs its equipment in the UK and lists all four on its kettlebell range page.

Here is how they compare as we sell them. Construction details are from Jordan's product pages; prices are from our live catalogue, with single-bell and complete-set prices shown separately.

Range Construction Handle Single bells Complete set Best for
JORDAN Chrome/Rubber Kettlebells Gravity-cast iron core, JR3 rubber coating Bare chrome 10 weights, 4–24kg: £21 – £125 each 4–24kg, 10 bells: £673 Home gyms and anyone learning technique
JORDAN Neoprene Covered Kettlebell Cast iron, colour-coded neoprene cover Covered bell, open handle 10 weights, 4–40kg: £18 – £176 each 4–40kg, 10 bells: £797.36 Studios, classes, homes with finished floors
JORDAN Cast Iron Kettlebell Set One-piece cast iron, matte coating; BSI approved Cast iron Not sold singly 4–40kg, 10 bells: £812.26 Commercial free-weights floors
JORDAN Competition 9 Kettlebell Set Hollow steel; BSI approved 35mm, smooth Not sold singly 8–40kg, 9 bells: £1,020 Kettlebell sport, coaching and technique-focused lifters

Jordan lists BSI approval on its cast iron and competition kettlebell pages; it does not make that claim for the Chrome/Rubber or Neoprene ranges.

Which Jordan kettlebell should you buy for a home gym?

JORDAN Chrome/Rubber Kettlebells, bought as two or three singles. The bare chrome handle is the reason: it takes chalk and lets the bell turn in your hand on cleans and snatches without dragging skin.

The JR3 rubber coat protects the floor, and Jordan says the bells are balanced to stand on their own. Weights run 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 24kg, priced from £21 for the 4kg to £125 for the 24kg.

The one limit is the top end. The range stops at 24kg, so a strong lifter who wants a 32kg for heavy swings will need a Neoprene single for that bell (£140). Bells from both ranges can share the same storage rack.

Which Jordan kettlebells suit a studio or class?

Neoprene, ideally as the full ten-bell set. Jordan describes the range as built for studio classes and home workouts: the colour-coded cover protects floors, and the handle is set so the bell sits on the forearm rather than the wrist.

The colours do repeat across the range, which instructors should know. As we list them, 6kg and 20kg are both teal, 8kg and 24kg orange, 12kg and 28kg purple, and 16kg and 32kg red. The size difference makes the pairs easy to tell apart, but “grab a red one” is not a complete instruction.

The demand for this kind of floor is still growing. Sport England's Active Lives survey for November 2024 to November 2025 recorded 15.3 million adults taking part in fitness activities, up 921,000 on the year before (Sport England).

Is the Jordan Competition 9 Kettlebell Set worth £1,020?

Yes, if consistency matters to you. It costs £207.74 more than the Cast Iron set and £222.64 more than the Neoprene set, and what that buys is the same handle and bell feel at every weight.

Jordan builds the competition bells from hollow steel with a 35mm smooth handle, “manufactured to competition standards for handle diameter and bell dimensions” (Jordan Fitness). The set runs 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36 and 40kg, 216kg in all, in standard competition colours.

That suits kettlebell sport athletes and coaches, but also enthusiasts who simply prefer consistent dimensions. On a cast iron range the bell grows as it gets heavier, so the rack position and the way it sits on the forearm change. On a competition set your technique carries straight up the ladder.

Should you buy a Jordan kettlebell set or build it bell by bell?

Build it bell by bell for one person at home; buy a set for a studio or a household with several lifters. The set saving is modest, so it should not drive the decision.

Complete set Bells included Total weight Set price Same bells bought singly Cost per kg
Neoprene, 4–40kg 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 40kg 190kg £797.36 £834 (saves £36.64) £4.20
Competition 9, 8–40kg 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40kg 216kg £1,020 Not sold singly £4.72
Chrome/Rubber, 4–24kg 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24kg 132kg £673 £689 (saves £16) £5.10

Set prices and single-bell prices are from our live product pages; totals, savings and per-kilo figures are our own arithmetic. The JORDAN Cast Iron Kettlebell Set (£812.26, ten bells from 4kg to 40kg) is not sold as singles, so it is not included here.

A set earns its place when more than one person trains at once. Kettlebells cannot be loaded up like a barbell, so the only way one person can press an 8kg while another swings a 24kg is to own both.

Do you need the Jordan Kettlebell Storage Rack?

Yes, once you own more than four or five bells, and always with a full set. The JORDAN Kettlebell Storage Rack costs £480 in black or grey and holds up to 12 kettlebells.

Jordan makes it in the UK from CE-marked steel, with rubber mats on the shelves to cut noise and protect the bells. It measures 782mm high, 1,395mm long and 600mm deep (Jordan Fitness), so check the run of wall before you order.

Jordan says chrome, rubber and neoprene kettlebells can all go on it, so mixed collections are fine. Twelve spaces means any of the ten-bell sets fits with two spaces spare.

Frequently asked questions

Are Jordan kettlebells good quality? Jordan Fitness is a King's Lynn-based company that designs its equipment in the UK and supplies gyms as well as homes. Its Cast Iron and Competition kettlebells are listed as BSI approved. The Chrome/Rubber bells use a gravity-cast iron core with JR3 rubber, and the Neoprene bells a cast iron core under a neoprene cover.

What is the difference between Jordan's neoprene and chrome/rubber kettlebells? The handle. Chrome/Rubber bells have a bare chrome handle that takes chalk and rotates smoothly in the hand, which suits cleans, snatches and long sets. Neoprene bells are colour-coded and kinder to floors, run up to 40kg rather than 24kg, and cost less weight for weight: £70 for a 16kg single against £84.

Can I buy Jordan cast iron kettlebells individually? Not from us at the moment. We sell the JORDAN Cast Iron Kettlebell Set as a complete ten-bell set from 4kg to 40kg at £812.26. If you want to buy one bell at a time, the Chrome/Rubber and Neoprene ranges are both available as singles.

What weights are in the Jordan Competition 9 Kettlebell Set? Nine bells: 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36 and 40kg, 216kg in total. They are hollow steel with a 35mm handle, in standard competition colours so each weight is easy to spot. The set is £1,020 with free UK delivery.

Are Jordan kettlebells made in the UK? Jordan designs in the UK and says it works with global manufacturing partners as well as British manufacturing. Of the kettlebell products here, Jordan states that the Kettlebell Storage Rack is made in the UK; it does not give a country of manufacture for the kettlebells themselves.

Can I mix different Jordan kettlebell ranges? Yes. A practical combination is Chrome/Rubber bells up to 24kg with a heavier Neoprene bell for swings. Jordan says the Kettlebell Storage Rack takes chrome, rubber and neoprene kettlebells, so a mixed collection stores neatly in one place.

Do Jordan kettlebells qualify for free delivery? Every Jordan kettlebell set does, because each costs more than £250. Single bells cost £20 to deliver on orders under £250, but the free threshold applies to the whole order, so several mid-weight bells, or a bell with other kit, can clear it.

Which Jordan kettlebells should you choose?

For a home gym, start with two or three JORDAN Chrome/Rubber singles. For a studio, the Neoprene set and the rack. For a commercial floor, the Cast Iron set. For consistent sizing or kettlebell sport, the Competition 9 set.
